GEMS Student and Family Handbook

Dear Students and Families:

Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year at The Graham Expeditionary Middle School (GEMS). We are excited that you have chosen to be a part of our learning community in its first year of existance! The policies and proceedures outlined in this handbook are intended to make our community a safe and productive learning environment for everyone. Please take time to read all of the enclosed information. We encourage you to discuss school policies and proceedures as a family.

The intention of all our work is to provide students with an exciting learning process of discovery and experience through expeditionary learning. All of our policies and proceedures focus on respect for individuals as well as for the community to which we all belong. We have a great interest in the safety and health of all students, employees, families and visitors, and adherence to the laws of our city, state and nation.

We appreciate your active participation in our school and look forward to a productive year of learning for all.
